The Situation Room:
Still here! Still alive! I am happy to say that my company finally has acquired some appointments. Those are small-sized, but - hey - a penny saved is a penny got. The iPhone is the gaming platform which seems to be quite interesting for publishers. Well, the demand is here, so we gonna offer our services. Another thingy some publishers (those who have their focus on mobile entertainment) is the upcomming Apple iPad. I dunno what I shall think of this new toy... ok the design is nice - picked up from the iPhone - but I am curious if the high price is warrantable. Another piece of news is that I have contact to a non-game-developing company which has a request for graphics outsourcing. The good thing regarding this request is that we actually will be able to earn good money, because it is not the games industry.

Just a Hint:
If one of you gals and guys out there wanna earn decent money, you may wanna think about staying away from the games industry unless you are able to get aboard of one of those large developer studios like EA or Blizzard. The games industry is infested with this "you-are-going-to-develop-a-nice-game-so-you-don't-need-to-earn-much-money" idealism, so the salaries are usually substandard in comparison to you work's actual value. Don't understand me wrong: I am still part of the games industry because developing games is not just a profession, for me it's a calling. I have consciously chosen to walk that "not-much-money" path in order to follow this calling, and as long as I decide that it's worth walking this path, I'll continue.

The New Stuff:
I am happy to say that I finally managed to upload some stuff, new and old alike. The 3D buildings are ingame assets which I had created for "The Settlers: Rise of an Empire" game in 2008. I think that they are worth a showing. Another image I have uploaded is a character concept for a Sci-Fi RPG. I am optimistic that I'll find some more time to draw in the near future, so new deviations might not be far ahead. ;)

Useful links:
A friend of mine is pretty proficient in assembling and painting model kits, such as Japanese garage kit figures, etc. Feel free to visit her homepage (German language site) and maybe drop her a nice line. She also offers assembly and painting services.

Still available:
For those of you who are interested in having a closer look at my avatar image, here is the chance. The original image has a size of 596x640 pixels. It was not created by me. The originator is unknown.

Also still available:
I have uploaded a print size version of the Palladium Fantasy Map, as well as my original Photoshop file including tonns of layers. The summary information of the downloadable Zip-file is as follows:
- Palladium_Map.tif - 42,661 MB
- Palladium_Map.psd - 114,372 MB
- Color format is CMYK
- Image size is 4200x2600 pixels
The Photoshop file has multiple layers and layer-sets, so I recommend to use Photoshop CS or higher. The layers include names, tags, streets, textures, etc. The downloadable Zip-file has an average file size of ~100 MB and is available here.

That's all for now, Folks. Keep it up, see ya latters...
